In Loving Memory of the Kutz Family
On the morning of October 7th, 2023, Hamas terrorists infiltrated Kfar Aza, a serene peace-loving kibbutz (communal farm/village) in Israel. My best friend's brother, his wife and entire family were brutally murdered that morning. The Kutz family: Aviv (54), Livnat (49) and their three beautiful children: Rotem (19), Yonatan (16) and Yiftach (14) were killed in their home. They were discovered huddled together with the father of the family Aviv, heroically protecting them with his body.
I happen to be running a 5K next weekend on Saturday 10.21.2023 and to make a small contribution, I will be running in memory of the Kutz family. I am asking for those who are so called to donate to their beautiful kibbutz in their memory.
About the Kfar Aza Initiative
Kibbutz Kfar Aza is located near the Gaza border. It was infiltrated Saturday morning and suffered heavy fighting and unthinkable losses. Many have been murdered, kidnapped and wounded. The kibbutz has been destroyed. Evacuated residents are staying in hospitality hotels elsewhere, and it is not yet clear when they will be able to return to their homes.
- Help locate the missing and kidnapped.
- Provide housing and any another immediate necessities.
- Offer on-going emotional and mental support to survivors and families.
- Begin the long process of rebuilding Kfar Aza.
